What is Swap?

Swap is a social marketplace mobile app that allows people to exchange items with one another.

How do I swap items?

Like the dating sites, each user creates a profile, uploads their unwanted items and begins swiping. Once there’s a match, the users get access to their inventory and can choose which items they’d like to swap. Then, a chat function is made available to arrange the swap.

What items can I trade?

You can trade anything besides illegal items/services, weapons, houses, cars, and alcohol. The app cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of any items traded so be sure to ask as many questions about the condition, specification, and details of the items as you need to ensure you’ve got a fair trade.

Is Swap live? Can I access it?

We are currently in the process of developing and refining the app. We anticipate a public release by the end of 2024. 

Can I trade multiple items at once?

Yes! You can propose a trade where you offer multiple items in exchange for a single item (or multiple items!) from the other user. This is accomplished by hitting either the “edit” button or the “+” button in the trade screen for the respective user.

Is Swap available in my area?

Swap is expanding its reach to serve users in various locations. Initially, Swap will be focused around Cairo, Egypt, and we will be actively working to expand to new regions.
